New York immigration attorney Eric Lorenzo will deliver a keynote speech at the third annual Bilingual Career Fair, which is to be held on June 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Sheraton LaGuardia East Hotel.
The annual event is facilitated by the World Journal, a prominent Chinese-language daily newspaper established in 1976 with a daily circulation of 350,000. The largest Chinese-language newspaper in the United States, the World Journal selected attorney Lorenzo from the prestigious New York law firm of Barst Mukamal & Kleiner to deliver the keynote address.
Barst Mukamal & Kleiner LLP enjoys a strong immigration focus and attorney Lorenzo has consistently provided leadership to the legal field through his involvement with the American Immigration Lawyers Association and New York County Lawyers Association. Mr. Lorenzo’s counsel has also been integral to the burgeoning New York City area tech startup community.
Mr. Lorenzo earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from the State University of Stony Brook before completing a law degree at The Delaware Law School at Widener University and being admitted to the New York and Connecticut state bars. He brings a passion for defending immigrants and supporting employment-based immigration policies to his work. These qualities made the Barst Mukamal & Kleiner attorney a natural choice to take a leadership speaking role at the Chinese-English Bilingual Career Fair.
The event will engage participants in areas that include bilingual employment trends, skill requirements, bilingual teaching opportunities, membership in the Chinese community organizations and U.S. work visa options. Mr. Lorenzo will be discussing options and answering questions regarding H-1B visas, O-1 visas, L-1 visas, EB-5 Green Cards and other employment based and family based green card options. Corporate recruiting and in-person interview opportunities will be available during the career fair.
The Sheraton LaGuardia East Hotel is located at 135-20 39th Ave., Flushing, NY 11354 and the event will be held on the second floor. Free registration is available at https://goo.gl/KeFnHa or by calling (718) 746-8889, ext. 6361.
